We're back from holidays and hard at work! I hope you all had awesome time. :D
What if you could travel back in time and pay a visit to occupied Paris? How would it look and feel? Well last week I ran across an unbelievable article that allows a little glimpse back in time. Apparently one particular Madame de Florian fled the German occupiers in 1942 and left her Paris apartment untouched, never to return. For the next 68 years, she kept paying the rent without ever going back! Only after she passed away in the age of 91 was this amazing "time capsule" of an apartment discovered.
Now I don't know what Madame de Florian's true story is, but it's easy to imagine that the same might have happened to many underground operatives chased by the Gestapo. Grab whatever you can, and run run run!
Read the whole story and see the fantastic pictures here. That Mickey Mouse from 1942 is pretty cool too!
