In the spirit of Life Long Learning™ we are about to beef up our Spymaster prototype with skill training for all your agents!
We want each agent to feel unique to you and your play style, so training them with skills as you play the game more is a natural (and fun!) fit. Here's how it works in our first prototype:
Step 1: Pick Charlie in to your team when embarking on an operation against the Axis
Step 2: Win!
Step 3: Charlie gets experience and might gain a level up
Step 4: Send Charlie to a secret location to study industrial sabotage (for example)
Step 5: Profit!
At first we'll play around with having three different types of agents skills: meta, map and mission. Examples:
Meta: More experience from each operation.
Map: Faster recruitment of local operatives in a city.
Missions: Smooth talking your way past suspicious guards.
This way we leave it up to you to choose what kind of things you'd like your agents to be good at. And of course one agent can only learn a few things so you might want to have quite a few of them to always have the dream team available for each operation. :)
We're super excited to try this new skill system out but it will have to wait until next week when we get it in to our development build. Have a nice weekend!
