Since last week we've been showing Spymaster to a small group of game developer friends. Early impressions are still flowing in, but meanwhile we've come up with a plan for the next few weeks.
Focus: Look & Feel
We (and our testers) have literally endless amounts of cool things and ideas that we'd like to implement in to the game. The sad fact about game development is, however, that putting more stuff in to a game doesn't take it any closer to being released! And we'd actually like to release Spymaster for you guys to play before iPad 8 is out.
So our thinking goes like this: we start to be really confident about what our game looks like overall and regardless of any upcoming changes we know this basic loop of spy management, operations and missions will be in the final game in a big way. Thus it makes sense to spend the next weeks laser focused on making it feel awesome and look amazing. After that we can always go back and start to add more of that ever important stuff to the game!
Another cool thing about having a sweet looking core loop is that we might just start to show regular screenshots about how it's shaping up!
